Sharing
Link copied, ready to paste
After every successful upload, the imgtree URL is copied to your clipboard automatically. An in-page status card shows progress and the finished link, with Copy and Open buttons.
Use the link anywhere — forums, Discord, docs, or social feeds. BBCode, Markdown, and HTML embed codes are available on the image page.
Accounts
Guest uploads or your dashboard
Works out of the box as a guest — no account needed. Add your imgtree API key in the extension settings to upload straight to your account and keep everything organized in your dashboard.
- Guest — POST /api/upload/guest, no sign-in required
- Account — Bearer API key from Dashboard → API keys
- Optional custom site URL for self-hosted imgtree instances

Privacy
Only the tab you capture
The extension uses activeTab permission — it only accesses the tab you're actively capturing. It never reads other tabs or your browsing history.
Uploads go only to the imgtree site you configure (imgtree.co by default, or your own self-hosted instance). No analytics, no tracking, no ads.
